The building is innovative and pioneering in environmental solutions and will generate more energy than it consumes. Sustainability ambitions include high architectural quality, logistics, environmentally friendly solutions and the promotion of next-generation pedagogy.
The school applies passive house standards, makes extensive use of wood and aims to be energy positive. The goal is an energy-efficient building with a minimum 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to the reference building. The outstanding achievement of the International School will pave the way for further innovation in energy-efficient buildings in Thu Duc.
